Goldens Lions Women’s rugby consist of a vibrant community of female rugby players that include several schools and clubs. The Lions have been a driving force in developing women’s rugby in Gauteng. The aim has always been to promote the values of World rugby and advocate that Rugby is a game for all. The Golden Lions Women’s teams include the Senior Women Provincial team, Under 20 Women’s Team, Under 18 Girls Team & Under 16 Girls Team. The schools and clubs compete annually in the GLRU Girls Schools Rugby League and the Pirates Women Grand Challenge respectively.
